Description
The Davey Injector Jet Kit 473 (Product Code: 22473) is a crucial assembly of components that, when used with the Davey 165D pump, converts it from a shallow well pump into a deep well pressure system capable of accessing water from significant depths.
Components
The kit is a comprehensive package designed for immediate installation:
- A bronze injector and foot valve assembly, which are the parts lowered into the water at the bottom of the well.
- An adaptor flange (or bend) to securely connect the suction pipes to the main pump unit.
- A rubber gasket for creating a watertight seal.
- Two polythene connectors.
- Eight stainless steel hose clips for securing all connections.
Function
The kit works on the principle of an injector (nozzle and venturi assembly) to create a vacuum, which allows the system to overcome the natural limitations of suction lift.
Deep Water Access: The 473 injector is specifically engineered to enable the Davey 165D pump to draw water from bores as deep as 21 metres, provided the well has a minimum diameter of 4 inches (100mm).
- Performance: The design ensures the correct balance of flow and pressure for these depths, with the system capable of a maximum flow rate of up to 107 litres per minute in optimal conditions.
- Corrosion Resistance: The associated pump body uses a marine-grade aluminium casing with a Rilsan® lining, ensuring the entire system is highly resistant to aggressive water and corrosion for long life and low maintenance.
- System Protection: An Automatic Demand Response (ADR) valve is a standard feature in the pump head, which works in conjunction with the injector to protect the system against loss of prime from over-pumping
